Chapati noodles

                                          Chapati noodles







Ingredients:

Wheat Chapati - 4-6 nos
thin sliced like noodles or rolled and sliced little flat like koitho
Onions - 1 large thin sliced
Garlic - 4-6 cloves chopped
Chilly flakes - 1 tsp
Pepper - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil - 2 tsp
Carrot - 2 thin sliced
Beans - 50 gms thin sliced
Cabbage - 50 gms thin sliced
Capsicum assorted - 50 gms thin sliced
Red / green/ yellow

 


Tomato ketchup - 1 tbsp
Soy sauce - 1-2 tsp as preferred
Spring onions for garnishing



Preparation


1.Slice chapati like noodles or rolled and sliced little flat like koitho




2. In a pan pour little oil.

3. Add chopped garlic fry till raw smell vanishes
4. Add sliced onions fry till tender.



5. Add all the vegetables one by one and toss for 3-4 minutes



6. Add tomato ketchup, soy sauce, chilly flakes and salt then toss for about a minute.





7. Finally add sliced chapati in it and sprinkle pepper as desired.



Garnish with chopped spring onions




Fresh home made chapati noodles is ready.



Yummy ! Serve hot with tomato ketchup and enjoy..... Its a All time Favourite especially for kids!

Sambar Receipe


Sambar

Ingredients


Oil - 2 tbsp
Toor Dhal - 150 gms
Tamarind powder - 1/4 tsp
Small onions - 4 nos
Garlic - 3 nos
Castor oil - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 strand
Onion - 1
Sambar powder - 1 tbsp
Tomato - 1 no
Asafoetida - a pinch
Tamarind - a small lemon sized
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves - for seasoning
Vegetables - (1 - carrot, 2 - brinjals, 1 - drumstick, 1- potato)

Method:

1. Soak tamarind in hot water for 5 to 10 minutes. 

2. In a pot shaped vessel, cook toor dhal with tamarind, 3 onions, 3 garlic pods, castor oil and curry leaves for 20 minutes
OR
Pressure cook all these ingredients for 3 whistles 







3. In a Kadai, pour oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves, chopped onions and saute till onions are tender. Add chopped tomatoes and saute for 2 minutes. Now add the vegetables of your choice and saute for a minute.


4. Add a glass of water with Sambar powder and salt. Let the vegetables cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Once vegetables are cooked add the tamarind juice and let it cook till the raw smell goes. Then add the cooked dhal with salt to taste


5. Let it boil for 3 minutes. Switch off the flame.


6. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with Rice
